Isaac Dogboe knocks out Argentine Javier Chacon

The Ghanaian boxer dominated Javier Chacon and won in the sixth round after his opponent couldn’t return for the round seven.

Dogboe successfully defended his WBO international super bantamweight belt against the former world title challenger Javier Chacon in the final eliminator bout on Saturday at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

Isaac Dogboe dominated his opponent from round 1 to the 6th round as renowned American referee Tony Weeks officiated the bout.

Chacon who received a lot of punches from the undefeated young Ghanaian boxer threw in the towel before the start of the round 7 when he failed to respond to the bell over hand injury.

As a result of that Isaac Dogboe emerged victorious via round 7 technical knockout, after failing to respond to the bell due to hand injury.

The door is now opened to Dogboe, 22 to vie for a proper world title in Las Vegas in the near future.

Former President Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings was the special guest of the occasion and he stayed throughout the night to witness the undercuts and three other bouts that took place after the main event for the day.
